We hope you will come!  Bring food or drink (non-alcoholic by park regulation), something to grill, or just yourself.  We hope that many founding members of the Alameda Greens will join us, as well as other activists of the '90's and 2000's.

Danny Moses and Charlene Spretnak are coming. Are you? It will be so good to see old faces and share memories, and bask in pride at how the party has grown since its humble beginnings.

In 1984-85 Danny Moses was a main founding organizer of the Bay Area Greens, and in 1994 he was the first California Green Party candidate for Lt. Governor.  In 1984 Charlene Spretnak wrote the seminal book "Green Politics" and later that year she organized the founding meeting of the national Greens (then known as the "Committees of Correspondence") in St. Paul, MN.  It was at this 1984 meeting in Minnesota where the 10 Key Values first came into being.  Charlene is currently a Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.

In May, 1985, the founding meeting of the East Bay Green Alliance
(predecessor of the Green Party of Alameda County), was held at the Unitarian Fellowship in Berkeley.  Among those making presentations at the meeting were Danny Moses, Charlene Spretnak, and Jonathan Porritt, of the British Greens.
