Local Action on Climate Change and Peak Oil: The Bay Area 2020 Project

The price of gas...and everything else...got you down? Can't breathe for the wildfire smoke in the air? Come learn how cities in the Bay Area can take on the twin challenges of climate change and rising energy costs. Bay Localize will present tools to measure and improve your community's resilience, and our campaign to procure 100% local renewable energy for the East Bay. Speaker: Kirsten Schwind, Program Director, Bay Localize. Kirsten Schwind holds a B.A. in Economics and a Masters of Science in Natural Resources Management. Her work focuses on sustainable community adaption to climate change and peak oil as well and local renewable energy policy.

Evening Schedule

7:30pm to 8:45pm Brief speeches from the speakers followed by  forum  questions and discussion with panelists and the audience.

8:45pm to 10:30pm  Relaxed discussion (nobody on stage)  drink, eat, chat

10.30pm Finish
